ABOUT RESTORE & REBUILD

This ministry did not begin as a program — it began as obedience.

More than twenty years ago, a local church in north Hays County saw families in need and responded tangibly. Over two decades, that church built or donated eleven homes to struggling families. It was generous, sacrificial, and faithful.

But over time, something became clear: Housing alone was not solving deeper challenges.

Some families were losing those homes due to underlying issues — limited education, unstable employment, lack of budgeting skills, trauma, and unresolved mental health struggles.

Leadership recognized something critical: Long-term stability requires more than a structure — it requires transformation.

A REFINED APPROACH

In 2014–2015, funds were raised to build a duplex for transitional housing for single moms. The original vision combined housing with life coaching in one centralized location. But as leaders worked directly with women, the model evolved.

Rather than concentrating families in one place, Restore & Rebuild transitioned to a community-based approach — allowing moms to remain in their school districts, jobs, and support networks while receiving structured coaching and rental support.
That refinement changed everything.

WHO WE ARE TODAY

In 2019, Restore & Rebuild formally became a non-profit ministry supported by a volunteer board, coaches, and teams from multiple churches.

We operate without a physical office and without paid staff, allowing the majority of funds to go directly toward families — including rental support, emergency needs, vehicle assistance, education, and program resources.

WHAT WE DO

Restore & Rebuild is a structured, two-year coaching program designed to foster lasting stability — not short-term relief.

Women who enter the program are carefully vetted and commit to:

  • Financial transparency and budgeting

  • Consistent coaching and goal-setting

  • Personal growth and accountability

  • Educational or vocational advancement

We walk alongside women who are willing to do the work of rebuilding — providing guidance, structure, and support along the way.

WHY IT MATTERS

The impact does not stop with one woman.

Her children see accountability.
They see consistency.
They see restoration.

We are not just stabilizing rent payments — we are interrupting generational cycles.

OUR VISION

To expand responsibly.
To strengthen our coaching base.
To deepen partnerships.
To serve more families willing to rebuild.

Restore & Rebuild is not an emergency charity —it is a structured rebuilding process.

This ministry has evolved from building homes, to building systems, to building lives.

Restore & Rebuild exists to foster stability that lasts — for mothers today and for generations to come.

This is not a handout — it is a structured rebuilding process.

Scripture shapes our posture and our practice.
Matthew 25:40 reminds us, “Whatever you did for one of the least of these… you did for me.”

We are motivated by Christ — not only in compassion, but in conviction.
We do not simply offer words of encouragement; we step in with structure, accountability, and care.

Our aim is not temporary relief, but lasting transformation — walking alongside each woman as she rebuilds her life with dignity, responsibility, and hope.
